Christmas came early for this Marine veteran as he received a surprise puppy present a few weeks premature to assist with his treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Peter Coukoulis has suffered with PTSD since his return to civilian life three years ago, and could barely contain his delight when mum Dena presented him with a tiny beagle on Wednesday December 7th. Oblivious to what’s about to unfold, the 26-year-old sits in the kitchen at home in Tallahassee, Florida, USA, with family gathered all around him when a neatly wrapped box is placed in front of him. As Peter opens the lid to see the adorable pooch inside, he begins to weep uncontrollably as he clutches and kisses the minute pup, in a truly heart-warming moment of embrace. Dena said: “The puppy has already changed Peter’s life, it has made him happy after a very difficult three years."
